Report made by Antares Consulting on the occasion of the 12th edition of the conference “Health management in times of change”.
This study focuses on four common changes that we have observed in all European countries and which affect the organisation of specialised care:
– Reforms in public hospital management, giving it legal personality, management autonomy and professionalised governance mechanisms.
– The changes in the criteria for planning and organisation of the activity by the regional health services.
– The evolution of the hospital as an independent entity towards its integration into cooperative hospital networks with territorial responsibility.
– The generalisation of payment by processes or DRGs in public health systems.
